Material Description: It is a stainless plastic mold steel with high chromium content. 1.2083 is also known under the classification AISI 420.

Steel properties: It has very high polishability, has high corrosion resistance, can maintain its surface quality for a long time, is suitable for coating, has low patterning ability, is not suitable for nitration process, can be hardened up to 52 HRC.
Applications: Production of PVC molds, plastic injection mold attachments, in molds where mirror shine is desired, machinery parts of the food industry, production of optical parts, for example cameras, sunglasses lenses, medical containers, etc.
Condition of delivery: Soft annealed, 200 - 240 HB, 1.2083 ESR class is available for higher polishability requirements.
