Material Description: It is a stainless steel with higher chromium content than 1.2083, therefore better corrosion resistance. It is usually shipped pre-hardened. Polishability is good. It is magnetic.

Steel properties: Corrosion resistance is quite high, Toughness is good, Pre-hardened but easily workable (due to sulfur (S) additive), It has optimum wear resistance, It is not suitable for nitration process.
Applications: It can be used in molds of corrosive plastics and polymers such as PVC without the need for chrome or nickel plating. It is also used to make knives, molds and other parts for the food industry.
Condition of delivery: Pre-hardened from 262 to 308 HB (27 to 33 HRC)
